In the seventh inning of Tuesday’s game vs. the Athletics, Byron Buxton went to field a ball in center field and looked to hurt his back in the process. He then left the game with a trainer. Buxton was dealing with a hip issue last month so it’s unclear if this incident is related.
Before exiting, he recorded no stats in three trips to the plate.
