UPDATE: Harrison was cramping in both calves.
Prior to the start of the sixth inning in Wednesday’s game against the Pittsburgh Pirates, Kyle Harrison was replaced by Chad Patrick. Harrison walked off the field with a trainer after warming up. There’s been no reason given as to why Harrison was removed from the game.
Prior to exiting, Harrison pitched five innings, struck out 10, walked one and did not allow an earned run on one hit. He threw 69 pitches, 50 for strikes. It was Harrison’s first start since July 8 due to injury, so he was on a pitch count.
Since Harrison faced more than five batters, he will not be eligible for DraftKings Early Exit.
