The dust has settled from the MLB trade deadline. Monday’s action saw a whole lot of movement across the league, with nearly every playoff contender making moves to bolster their chances. Let’s look at the updated 2026 World Series odds now that the deadline is past.

Of course, the Dodgers continue to lead the way. The two-time defending champions only got better at the deadline, adding two-time Cy Young winner Tarik Skubal to the roster. Right behind them are the Yankees, who beefed up the lineup by adding Luis Garcia Jr. and Heliot Ramos. Milwaukee comes in third and Atlanta fourth after both made fringe additions at the deadline. The Boston Red Sox, fresh off a 21-4 month of July and a blockbuster trade for Adley Rutschman, have surged all the way to fifth. And despite having the best record in the AL and a solid deadline, the Tampa Bay Rays are in sixth.
From there, you get into the long shots. But it’s important to note that outside of the Texas Rangers, every team in the top 16 of the World Series odds made moves to upgrade their roster before the deadline, from the Dodgers down to the Padres and Twins. Don’t try to tell these GMs that the Dodgers are going to roll everyone over; they all believe they have a fighting chance.
