What happened to Wyatt Langford? Live injury updates for Mariners vs. Rangers on 7/25/26

Bad news for Rangers fans. In the midst of an important AL West rivalry game against the Seattle Mariners, star outfielder Wyatt Langford was removed from the game for a defensive substitute, seemingly due to injury.

Langford has been dogged by injuries through his young career and has already missed a good chunk of time this year. It’s possible this is related to a second-inning at-bat in which Langford fouled two balls off his foot, came up limping after one, and jogged into second base after hitting an RBI double. In addition to that RBI double, Langford added two more hits and two runs scored before leaving the game.

Langford, 24, came into the game with 12 home runs, 28 RBIs, and seven stolen bases, along with a .282/.327/.519 slash line. Despite having only 220 at-bats on the season, he’s second amongst all Rangers position players in WAR.

Since Langford had more than one plate appearance, he will not be eligible for DraftKings Early Exit.
