What happened to Spencer Arrighetti? Live injury updates for Astros vs. White Sox on 7/24/26

Prior to the start of the second inning of Friday’s game against the Chicago White Sox,

Houston starter Spencer Arrighetti was replaced by AJ Blubaugh before the second inning of Wednesday’s game against the White Sox. He threw a few warmup pitches before leaving the game with a trainer. The nature or cause of the injury has yet to be divulged.

Before exiting, Arrighetti allowed three earned runs on two hits with two walks. He threw 33 pitches, 18 for strikes.

Since Arrighetti faced more than five batters, he will not be eligible for DraftKings Early Exit.
