In the second inning of Wednesday’s game vs. the Tigers, Nick Kurtz appeared to hurt his hand while trying to field an errant throw. However, reports indicate that he left the game due to an illness. Kurtz was replaced by Jeff McNeil.
Before exiting, he recorded no stats in one trip to the plate. Kurtz will be covered under Early Exit.
