Not what you want to see for the San Francisco Giants tonight. While fielding a ground ball in the sixth inning, third baseman Matt Chapman grabbed at his leg. He was replaced by a pinch hitter in the following inning.
Chapman, 33, entered the game batting .237 with seven home runs and 42 RBI on the season. One of the best defensive third basemen in baseball, Chapman is expected to be a trade target before the deadline with the Giants scuffling. Any kind of significant injury would sure throw a wrench in those plans.
