New York Yankees second baseman Jazz Chisholm Jr. exited Monday’s game against the Detroit Tigers early due to injury.

There’s no official word yet on what the injury is, but he was clearly shaken up after colliding with a teammate while trying to field a pop-up in the top of the fourth inning. He was hit in the face by his teammate’s elbow during the collision and fell to the ground before exiting the game.

Chisholm Jr. went just 0-for-1 with a strikeout on Monday.

Because he left the game prior to his second plate appearance, Chisholm Jr. will be eligible for DraftKings’ Early Exit program.

The 28-year-old second baseman is slashing .223/.306/.399 for the Yankees this year, good for an OPS of just .706. That mark is the lowest of his career since his rookie season. In 80 games, Chisholm Jr. has 63 hits, 42 runs, 33 RBI and 12 homers, also stealing 24 bases in the process.

The Yankees are 48-35, second in the AL East prior to the conclusion of today’s game against Detroit.
