Matheus Cunha put on a brilliant performance in Brazil’s second group match against Haiti. Cunha slotted in two goals in that match, propelling Brazil to a big win. Cunha will only become more important with Raphinha out for an indefinite amount of time. Those two players were playing the highest up the pitch for Brazil. Rayan will likely slide into the starting lineup in that spot. He is an extremely talented player, but is only 19 years old. Cunha is now the main man up top. The Manchester United man is in great form and should be able to attack the Scotland defense. Scotland is stout at the back end, but Brazil should get a few good chances, and Cunha looks like the guy to take those chances.
Brahim Diaz, Morocco (+125)
This is a big match for Morocco. They should feel confident about their ability to take it to Haiti and get all three points. If Scotland gets a result against Brazil and Morocco gets the win, it is Morocco that will win the group. They should be motivated to try to score a couple of goals in this one. Haiti conceded three goals to Brazil in its previous match and has some vulnerabilities at the back. Brahim Diaz could be the man to take advantage of that. The Real Madrid man has two assists at this World Cup so far. It should be his turn to find the back of the net himself. He will be one of the two or three most talented players on the pitch and should create space for himself against the Haitian defense. This could be a big performance from Morocco, and Diaz should play a substantial role.
Tomas Soucek, Czechia (+600)
Tomas Soucek is my favorite longshot goalscorer for tonight’s slate. Soucek is not thought of as a goalscorer, but he has averaged seven goals per season in the Premier League for West Ham over the last three seasons. He is an amazing aerial threat on set pieces and has a knack for finding the back of the net. Soucek scored two goals in World Cup qualifying for Czechia in the lead-up to this tournament. Soucek will have a size advantage over the Mexican squad. This could also be a performance lacking some urgency from Mexico, as they have already clinched the group. Meanwhile, Czechia needs a win to advance to the knockout stage. They should be the more motivated team in this match, and Soucek could be the unexpected hero for his nation.
