Alabama vs. Florida State Player Prop Best Bets

Keelon Russell 260+ Passing Yards (-106)

Keelon Russell has been one of the most exciting players to watch in the early part of this college football season. The sophomore won a tough offseason quarterback battle against Austin Mack because of his massive potential. Not everything has been perfect from Russell, shown by his two interceptions in the first half against Kentucky last week. However, the positives have been very positive for Russell. He has not been forced to make big throws under pressure, as both games have been blowout wins for Alabama. All things considered, he has shown the capability of making incredible plays.

The Florida State defense has looked quite poor through two games. New Mexico State quarterback Trey Hedden threw for 272 yards against them in Week 1. The following week, Kevin Jennings threw for a remarkable 430 yards against the Seminoles. In the first high-profile home start of his career, Russell should try to put on a show. Kalen DeBoer will also want revenge after losing this matchup in Tallahassee last season. Russell should hit this mark and throw for at least 260 passing yards against Florida State.

Ousmane Kromah Anytime TD (+125)

Ousmane Kromah has been one of the lone bright spots for Florida State this season. He rushed for 115 yards and a score in the opener against New Mexico State, then rushed for 116 yards and a score last week against SMU. Florida State’s best chance of competing in this game is by handing the ball to Kromah and moving it methodically on the ground. Ashton Daniels is not a serious quarterback and won’t be able to throw against Alabama in this game.

Mike Norvell should limit the number of pass attempts for Daniels and try to get ahead of the chains by giving it to Kromah. Running the football effectively will also quiet the crowd and keep the ball away from Keelon Russell. If the Seminoles are going to have any success in this game, it should come on the ground. So, at plus-money, I’ll back Kromah to score for the third straight game to start the season.
