As was predicted by many, tonight’s tilt between the Giants and the Braves will be postponed due to inclement weather. The game will now be made up on a mutual off-day on August 31.
This ends — for now — what was a very messy series between these two NL squads, as Tuesday’s game had to be suspended and then continued on Wednesday afternoon as part of a doubleheader. San Francisco won Game 1 by a score of 7-2 and then took Game 2, 7-5.
Landen Roupp and Martin Perez were the expected starting pitchers on Thursday.
Despite losing both contests yesterday, the Braves are 19 games above .500 on the season, and currently lead the National League East by 6.5 games.
