Song Yadong is headlining this week’s UFC Fight Night in his home country of China against former UFC Bantamweight Champion Deiveson Figueiredo. Both fighters are coming off losses at UFC 324: Yadong faced Sean O’Malley, while Figueiredo faced Umar Nurmagomedov.
Check out my prediction for the Main Event of Saturday’s UFC Fight Night between Song Yadong and Deiveson Figueiredo.
Over 4.5 Rounds (-125)
Figueiredo is 1-3 in his previous four contests, with his previous victory coming against Montel Jackson in October 2025. Since moving to 135 pounds in 2023, Figueiredo has a record of 4-3 in seven fights at Bantamweight. Yadong has lost two of his previous three fights, but they losses came against Petr Yan (current UFC Champion) and Sean O’Malley (former UFC Champion).
In this fight, Figueiredo has a slight edge in standing reach (68″ vs. 67″), but Yadong is taller (5’8″ vs. 5’5″). Yadong averages more significant strikes per minute (4.42 vs. 2.63), but the former champion is more accurate (53% vs. 43%). On the ground, Figueiredo lands 1.61 takedowns per 15 minutes at a 35 percent rate.
On DraftKings Sportsbook, Yadong is a massive -600 favorite while the former champion is a +440 underdog. The over/under is set at 4.5 rounds, with the over being -125. Since Figueiredo has the advantage on the ground, he could frustrate Yadong if he mixes in a few takedowns. Yadong’s last four fights have gone the distance, while four of Figueiredo’s previous five have gone to the judges’ scorecards. Both fighters in this contest have been passive recently, and it would be surprising if either were to secure an early finish.
