Darby Allin (c) vs. Konosuke Takeshita – AEW World Championship Match
Man, I’ll tell ya, if this wasn’t so close to AEW Double or Nothing, I think Takeshita would take this match down. I’m so ready for him to be the AEW World Champion, and I think his reign would be highly successful. But we’re not at that stage just yet, so I think Allin should retain here once again. Give credit where it’s due, Allin has been fantastic as AEW World Champion, and his win over PAC at Fairway to Heaven was an extremely entertaining and violent match.
Regardless of what comes out of this reign for Allin, he’s been a fighting champion the entire time and has delivered extremely high-quality matches. For Allin and Takeshita, this will be the sixth time they’re involved in a match together, but only the second time they’ll face off one-on-one. In their prior match, Takeshita scored the victory over Allin on Dynamite.
I am curious how this match will end, however. Takeshita has a huge match coming up himself, as he’s set to finally face off against Kazuchika Okada in their long-awaited rematch at Double or Nothing. Takeshita taking a loss here, which is very likely, does make him look weak going into his match with Okada. So I’m thinking either Okada or a member of the Don Callis Family gets involved to cost Takeshita the match, further pushing that storyline toward Double or Nothing.
Darby Allin (c) vs. Konosuke Takeshita: Darby Allin retains the AEW World Championship
Cage & Cope, Young Bucks & Orange Cassidy vs. FTR, The Dogs & Tommaso Ciampa – Double Jeopardy Match
All of these men were ringside for last week’s Double Jeopardy match between Orange Cassidy and Dax Harwood. Not only did Cassidy earn the victory, which gives The Conglomeration a future shot at the AEW Tag Team Championship, but everyone ended up brawling at the conclusion of the match. Now, they’ll all face each other on this edition of AEW Dynamite.
The main focus of this match, I assume, will be Cope & Christian and FTR. They have their massive I Quit match coming up at Double or Nothing, which includes the stipulation that if Cage & Cope lose, they’ll be forced to retire.
I’m banking on Cage & Cope winning at Double or Nothing, so I’m going to side with the heels to win this match. This could also be an opportunity to start a quick program between The Young Bucks and The Dogs, as both are without a match heading into this PPV.

Will Ospreay vs. Ace Austin – Singles Match
Austin was involved in the big 10-man main event on the special Dynamite and Collision episode last week. Austin scored the victory for his team over The Death Riders, hitting The Fold on Wheeler Yuta to score the win. Lucky for him, now he gets to face Ospreay!
If you recall, Ospreay has been training with The Death Riders over the past couple of weeks, and this will be his first match since that happened. The last time we saw Ospreay wrestle in AEW, he lost by referee decision to Mark Davis after taking a piledriver on the apron.
While we don’t know what to expect from Ospreay, a ruthless, aggressive version is certainly in play here. That wouldn’t bode well for Austin, who hasn’t done well in singles matches in AEW. This will be his eighth singles match, and he currently owns a 1-6 record. His only singles win came back on October 22, 2025 against Bryan Keith.

Triangle of Madness vs. The Brawling Birds & Hikaru Shida
This match was announced late Tuesday night by Tony Khan. Thekla, who’ll be defending the AEW Women’s World Championship against two of her opponents at Double or Nothing, will team up with her Triangle of Madness partners, Skye Blue and Julia Hart.
