Houston Astros starting pitcher Tatsuya Imai is heading to the injured list with what is being labeled “right arm fatigue.”

It has been an ugly start to the season for the prized free agent addition. Imai has made three starts for the Astros, posting a 7.27 ERA across his first three starts and 8.2 innings pitched. The 27-year-old has given up seven hits, 11 walks, and struck out 13. He was pulled from his previous start after recording just one out and allowing three earned runs. Imai had gotten through just 2.2 innings pitched in his debut and 5.2 innings pitched in his second start.

Houston will hope the time on the injured list will help Imai settle in his MLB transition. Imai signed a three-year contract worth a reported $54 million after starting his professional career in Japan. The Astros are just 6-10 to start the season overall, and will hope to find their peak when Imai returns to form.

The Astros will finish a series against the Seattle Mariners tonight. Seattle has won all three games thus far in this series, and Houston will be looking to snap a seven-game losing streak overall.

Looking at the odds on DraftKings Sportsbook, the Mariners hold +123 odds of winning on the -1.5 run line while the Astros hold +141 odds of winning outright tonight. The run total is set at 7.5.
