Los Angeles Dodgers team total over 4.5 runs (-110) vs. New York Mets
Betting the over on the Dodgers’ team total is just the way to go right now. They’re averaging a ridiculous six runs per game and have scored at least five runs in seven of their 15 games. They have a great chance to do that again tonight against the Mets and David Peterson. Peterson has made three starts and owns a 6.14 ERA with an xERA of 4.86 and a 3.6 BB/9. Peterson is mainly a four-seam and sinker pitcher, which isn’t what’s going to fool the Dodgers. The Dodgers’ lineup has already combined for a .368 wOBA with a .198 ISO against lefties, which is essentially where they were for 2025. The weather is going to be great in LA with winds blowing out toward right field between 11-13 mph.
Ryne Nelson under 16.5 outs recorded (-107) vs. Baltimore Orioles
Before his last start against the Mets, Nelson had not pitched more than 4.2 innings. This outs total would need him to complete an out in the sixth inning, which feels like a stretch tonight against the Orioles. Nelson is essentially a four-seam fastball pitcher, throwing that 60% of the time. Dating back to last season, tonight’s expected Orioles lineup has a combined .368 wOBA with a .243 ISO against that pitch. Nelson’s expanded numbers show that he’s ripe for regression with that pitch, as opposing hitters have an expected batting average of .303 and an xwOBA of .446. Winds will also be blowing out tonight in Baltimore, and Nelson is allowing a lot of fly balls, currently at a 55% rate. It certainly feels like a spot where he doesn’t go deep and goes under this total of 16.5.
Nolan Schanuel 2+ H/R/RBI (-105) vs. New York Yankees
Will Warren has pitched very well thus far, posting a 3.07 ERA with an xERA of 3.56 with an 8.5 K/9 and a 3.1 BB/9. However, it’s worth pointing out that his schedule has been quite generous. He’s faced the Athletics, Marlins, and Giants, totaling 14.2 innings. The Angels have quietly averaged 4.5 runs per game and could be a tough matchup for Warren. Schanuel is someone I’m eyeing to record 2+ H/R/RBI, as Warren has always struggled more against lefties. In his three years in the majors, Warren has a .356 wOBA with a 5.03 FIP and 16 of the 29 home runs he’s allowed. Schanuel also has great numbers against Warren’s two main pitches, a four-seam and sinker. Schaneul has at least a .378 wOBA and a .164 ISO against both.
First Inning Batters to the Plate Parlay: Rangers/Braves/Dodgers over 3.5 (+176)
If you read my article on Friday, you saw I introduced a new parlay series that I’m going to roll out for a bit. This is a first-inning parlay based on the number of hitters who record a plate appearance in the first inning, with the line set at 3.5. I’m always looking to target weak pitchers, especially ones with command issues, in these parlays. It is imperative not to celebrate these parlay wins early, as if someone reaches, a double-play could still defeat us. The Rangers will have the luxury of facing Luis Severino, who is averaging almost a walk per inning with his 8.7 BB/9 through 13.1 innings. The Braves are facing Eury Perez, who is also struggling with his command, with a BB/9 just over 5.0. The Dodgers, as mentioned above, are my favorite team to go over their team total tonight and have been crushing left-handed pitching.
