Just one week after it returned to Disney+, Daredevil: Born Again is switching things up. We are also bound for plenty of crossover from elsewhere in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, with Season 2 strengthening the show’s ties to its Netflix origins at the very least.
Before the latest entry in the MCU resumes with a rare double-dip, here is everything you need to know:
When does Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 Episode 2 come out?
Episode 2 will premiere on Disney+ at 9 p.m. ET on Tuesday, March 31. It is titled Shoot the Moon. Thanks to a late change in the release schedule, Episode 3 – titled The Scales & the Sword – will also hit the streaming service at the same time Tuesday night. Both episodes are expected to have a runtime between 50 and 60 minutes each.
The second season will consist of eight episodes, compared to the nine-episode first season and the three 13-episode Netflix seasons. The ensuing five episodes will drop weekly through the finale on May 5, followed by The Punisher: One Last Kill special presentation on May 12.

The Season 2 premiere of Daredevil: Born Again picked up pretty much where Season 1 left off. And while we met a few new faces, Marvel has confirmed that a few familiar faces from the Netflix days are coming back into the fold this season. What to expect in Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 Episodes 2 and 3
Bullseye just saved Matt from having his secret identity reveal to Fisk’s task force. The last time we saw Bullseye, he shot Matt while trying to take out Kingpin. Before that, Bullseye took down Foggy on Venessa’s orders, so suffice to say they have a complicated relationship. Why exactly Bullseye was watching over Matt and why he wanted to save him remains to be seen, other than their shared hatred of Kingpin. Matt probably won’t be too happy about Dex killing people, either, regardless of them torturing Cherry or their affiliation to Fisk.
Matt and Karen name-dropped a “Jess” in Episode 1, hinting towards the return of Jessica Jones. We already knew she was getting folded into the mainline MCU this season, but there could be more superpowered reinforcements coming in the future, too.
Kingpin running illegal weapons through his off-the-books port seems like the main plot of this season, plus the upcoming vigilante trials and Swordsman’s own case. Then there’s Mr. Charles, who is seemingly working with CIA director Valentina Allegra de Fontaine and Kingpin simultaneously. Marvel has confirmed that Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 takes place after Thunderbolts*, so Val’s motives while working with the New Avengers remain unclear. Mr. Charles could also turn out to be a code name, since he doesn’t seem to be based directly on a notable character from the comics.

Marvel Studios confirmed in September 2025 that production for Daredevil: Born Again season 3 would start in early 2026. Filming began in March. The third season of the revival is expected to come out in March 2027.
