What happened to Cody Ponce? Live injury updates for Rockies vs. Blue Jays on Monday 3/30/26

UPDATE: Ponce exited Monday’s game due to right knee discomfort.

In the top of the third inning of Monday’s game against the Colorado Rockies, Cody Ponce had his right knee buckle while trying to field a grounder. He was carted off the field.

Prior to exiting, Ponce went 2.1 innings, struck out three, walked one and allowed one earned run on one hit.

Ponce was a popular late-round fantasy pick, as he gained velocity on the fastball while developing potent secondary pitches. Last season in Korea, Ponce had a strikeout rate of 36.2% with a robust 30.3% K-BB%. The FIP was 2.15. Toronto was impressed enough to sign him for three years and $30 million.

The Blue Jays already has Jose Berrios, Shane Bieber, Bowden Francis and Trey Yesavage already shelved due to injury.
