While Fallout season 2 has been a bit disjointed since it got rolling last month, the show is building up to a wild finale. The adaptation of the blockbuster video game franchise is starting to weave in more and more lore ahead of the penultimate episode, on top of finally crossing over key storylines. Beyond that, demand for the show has seemingly built up to the point where Amazon has moved Fallout into a primetime slot.
If you are dialed in heading into the home stretch, here is everything you need to know heading into season 2, episode 7:
When does Fallout S2E7 come out?
After dropping all eight episodes of season 1 at once, Prime Video has pivoted to weekly releases for season 2. And despite routinely leaning on three-episode premieres for The Boys, Gen V, Invincible and their other blockbuster shows, Prime Video went with a one-episode premiere for Fallout season 2.
Season 2, episode 7 will drop on Tuesday, January 27 at 9 p.m. ET. Fallout has previously been coming out on Wednesdays at 3 a.m. ET, but Prime Video moved the release time up six whole hours for episodes 7 and 8. The final two episodes will likely have a runtime of around one hour each.

Who will show up in this episode?
Certain characters and plot lines have been omitted in different episodes so far. The Brotherhood storyline got left out of two episodes, as have Norm and the Vault 31 crew. That being said, here is a list of the actors and characters who could pop up in episode 7:

Kumail Nanjiani’s Paladin Xander Harkness turned out to be a one-off character, dying shortly after his introduction. While we didn’t see Macaulay Culkin’s Lacerta Legate or Michael Cristofer’s Elder Quintus kick the bucket on-screen, the latter seems far more likely to return than the former.
What to expect in Fallout S2E7
The Ghoul spent a solid chunk of episode 6 skewered on a pole, until a mysterious figure cut him loose. As it turned out, the thing that freed the Ghoul and fast-tracked his recovery with a chunk of uranium was a super mutant. This particular super mutant was portrayed by Ron Perlman, who has been the narrator of the Fallout games since 1997. While the Ghoul refused to join the super mutant’s cause – an upcoming war for the wasteland – Perlman likely didn’t sign on for a handful of lines in one episode. He may not be back this season, but keep an eye out for his return in season 3. The appearance of a super mutant is also notable since the Forced Evolutionary Virus, which Norm discovered at Vault-Tec HQ in episode 5, is what creates the big green monsters.
After the super mutant let the Ghoul free, Dogmeat led Maximus and Thaddeus to him. Six episodes into the season, two main plot lines have finally intersected. Maximus has cold fusion to bargain with, which could come into play if they return to Vegas to save Lucy.
Speaking of Lucy, she got a first-hand look at Hank’s successful automated humans experiments. She even put the NCR ranger she met in the wasteland, Biff, under mind control to save him from a brutish Legion soldier. Hank has agreed to go back to Vault 32 with Lucy and face justice, but he seems pretty confident that she won’t follow through on his arrest now that she’s seen how peaceful his secret dealings have been. Down in the vaults, Reg stood up to Betty, while Woody went missing and Chet was the last to learn about his wedding date with Steph.
Based on the preview of next episode, Norm is going to survive his scuffle with Reg. There are also some dangling threads in the pre-war flashback plot, with Siggi Wilzig apparently looping Barb into the Enclave’s scheme from within Vault-Tec. Nobody seems to know who is actually running either organization, to say nothing of House’s role in the pending apocalypse.
