Where Does ‘Wicked: For Good’ Rank Among Highest Grossing Movie Musicals of All-Time?

“Wicked: For Good” finally hit theaters nationwide on November 21, one year after the first “Wicked” film took the box office by storm. The sequel has already brought in a boatload of cash for Universal Studios, proving that the cultural impact hasn’t died down just yet. Now is as good a time as any to take a look at the highest-grossing movie musicals of all time, since “Wicked: For Good” is already breaking records and is bound to break more.

For the sake of these lists, we’re only looking at live-action musicals. Disney has remade many of their most popular animated musicals in live action, though, so that pseudo-franchise is still represented here.
