The second event in the FedExCup Playoffs on the PGA TOUR concludes this Sunday, August 17. The BMW Championship at Caves Valley Golf Club has already had plenty of drama and should be set up for a great finish on Sunday. Of the top 50 in the FedExCup standings, 49 players are in the limited field this week, and the top 30 in the FedExCup standings will advance to next week’s finale at the TOUR Championship at East Lake Golf Club. Next week’s FedExCup Championship has a huge payout, but this week’s event has a hefty purse as well.
The BMW Championship awards a $20 million total purse, with $3.6 million going to the winner.
Here’s how the top-25 finishers will be paid at the conclusion of the tournament in Owings Mills, Maryland. Ties will evenly divide the total purse among the included positions. For example, a four-way tie for fourth would result in the total purse for fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh evenly divided between the four players.
