What happened to Jake Meyers? Live injury updates for Guardians vs. Astros Wednesday 7/9/25

UPDATE: Meyers left the game due to right calf tightness.

Just a few minutes before Wednesday’s game against the Guardians, OF Jake Meyers needed help from athletic trainers to exit the field. Zack Short will play at shortstop, while Mauricio Dubón will play at center field.

On the season, Meyers has 89 hits, 21 RBI’s and three homers in 88 games played.

This is a big blow for Meyers and the Astros, as he had missed the previous two games due to injury. There is no mention whether this is the same issue or a new potential injury, but stay tuned to DK Network for live updates.
