Saturday brings a full 15-game MLB slate as every single team takes the diamond to kick off the weekend. As fans head to ballparks and fantasy baseball players select their DFS lineups, we’re taking a look at the weather around the league to see what matchups may see potential impacts and rain delays.

Early window
Taking a look around the nation’s ballparks, the forecast looks sunny for the majority of games. The two-game early afternoon window appears clear with just a 15% chance of rain in New York at Yankee Stadium, so there’s not much to worry about there.
Afternoon window
At 4 p.m. EST, 10 games get rolling with warm and sunny weather across most. However, there are three main matchups to watch for potential weather delays in, the first of which is Rays at Orioles. The forecast shows a 90-degree temperature at Oriole Park at Camden Yards with an 18% chance of rain around first pitch. That mark does increase to the 40% range as the game progresses with some cloud cover rolling in and some potential thunderstorms around 7 p.m. EST, though it may not be a very strong front.
Mets at Pirates is another one to watch for weather in. Yesterday’s game saw a brief rain delay push first pitch back about 20 minutes, and there’s more rain forecasted this afternoon in Pittsburgh. The wind isn’t too bad at nine mph, but there’s a 63% chance of rain around the 4 p.m. EST start which decreases to 40% over the following hour. There’s a real chance of another rain delay at Pittsburgh’s PNC Park in this one.
Padres at Reds also has potential for another rain delay after yesterday’s matchup was put on hold for a while. The forecast shows 83 degrees at the time of the 4 p.m. start with a 30% chance of rain, but that number increases to 57% over the 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. windows as the temperature drops and a storm moves in. Weather delays remain a possibility in Cincinnati for the second straight day.
Evening window
Saturday’s final game with potential for weather-related impacts is Phillies at Braves. Yesterday’s series opener saw a long delay as the sky fell out at Truist Park in Georgia. Saturday’s rematch starts at 7:15 p.m. EST with a temperature of 81 degrees and a 51% chance of rain through around 9 p.m. This one might see a later start than anticipated if the weather looks ugly.
