After a great Sunday of action, the focus of the Major League Baseball world will be on a great matchup between the Mets and Phillies at Citizens Bank Park, where the lead in the NL East is up for grabs. Let’s dive in and check out my best bets, picks and predictions for Mets at Phillies on 6/22/25.
Both teams enter the game tonight with identical 46-31 records in a flat-footed tie atop the division. The Phillies won on Friday, 10-2, but the Mets bounced back with a huge 11-4 victory on Saturday that snapped their seven-game losing streak. The Phillies are slight home favorites at -126 on the moneyline for the rubber game of the series.

Best Bets for Mets at Phillies on 6/22/25 on DraftKings Sportsbook
Juan Soto 2+ Total Bases (+135)
I had Soto in my top home run props of Sunday night, and I’m doubling down on him here at plus odds to have at least two total bases. Soto was mired in a slump a month ago, but he has caught fire in his last 20 games.
He has racked up 50 total bases in his last 20 games (2.5 per game), while hitting an impressive .338 with a .510 wOBA. He has been crushing everything with a 59.6% hard-hit rate and a 19.3% barrel rate. He smashed a pair of homers to help push the Mets to a win on Saturday, and will look to continue his return to normal for the slugging lefty.
On Sunday night, he takes on lefty Jesus Luzardo, who has been struggling a little bit lately. Soto is hitting .296 against southpaws, though, and is 5-for-13 with a home run against Luzardo in the past.
Soto will look to stay hot on Sunday night, and should be able to deliver at least two total bases based on his recent groove.
Otto Kemp 2+ Hits + Runs + RBI (+100)
The Phillies have been giving Kemp a long look at 1B while Bryce Harper (elbow) is sidelined, and so far the 25-year-old rookie has been impressively up to the task.
He has 12 hits, seven runs, and five RBI for 24 total hits, runs and RBI in his 13 games this season (1.8 per game). He has at least two hits, runs and RBI in five of his last 11 contests.
He’ll start in the outfield on Sunday as the team looks to find a spot for him after Harper’s return. He’ll take on lefty David Peterson in Sunday’s matchup, and I like getting him on the better side of his splits at even money to have multiple hits, runs and RBI.
He’s 2-for-8 against lefties in the majors after hitting .348 against southpaws in Triple-A with the Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs. Kemp can hit this prop a few different ways, either with one at-bat or two, offering him multiple paths to victory in this prop.
Kemp isn’t the biggest name in the Phillies lineup, but getting this at plus-money makes him a sneaky value play that should be able to deliver in this matchup.
Total Strikeouts Thrown under 16.5 (-110)
While the big wild card in this prop is Jesus Luzardo, I like the under on this total strikeout props for the game. I also like the under on Luzardo’s strikeout prop, which I highlighted in my starting pitcher prop bets.
Both teams do a solid job at strikeout suppression and Peterson isn’t a high-volume strikeout pitcher. Peterson has only a 7.7 K/9 this season and only had two strikeouts in 5 1/3 innings against the Phillies in his first contest against them this season.
In the last two weeks, Mets’ hitters have averaged 8.6 strikeouts per game, while Phillies’ hitters have averaged only 7.1 strikeouts per game over that span. Since Peterson doesn’t typically strike out a ton of batters, I expect a low total on the Phillies side of things, so as long as Luzardo doesn’t go off, this under should be one of the best bets on the board for Sunday night.
