Jorge Soler injury update for Friday 6/20/25

It’s been a rough season for Jorge Soler. In 265 plate appearances, Soler is slashing .207/.280/.350 with an 8.3% walk rate, 29.8% strikeout rate and .143 ISO. His career averages are 10.6% walk rate, 26.6% strikeout rate and .216 ISO.

Last week, Soler missed a few games due to groin tightness. This past Wednesday, he was absent due to back stiffness, causing him to miss Thursday’s game as well. On Friday, the Angels decided to place Soler on the IL.

Luis Rengifo and Jo Adell manned right field the last few games. Adell will likely be the one to play right field while Soler is out of action, with Scott Kingery playing center field.

Adell is slashing .221/.293/.471 with a 5.7% walk rate, 24.8% strikeout rate and .250 ISO. The BABIP is only .228, so he’s been a bit unlucky. The barrel rate is healthy 14.5% while the hard hit rate is 46.7%.
