Indiana Fever vs. Connecticut Sun pick, prediction for Tuesday 6/17/25

There’s a lot on the line for the Indiana Fever in this game on Tuesday. The same cannot be said for the Connecticut Sun.

Indiana welcomed Caitlin Clark back in their last game, a resounding 102-88 victory over the New York Liberty. That tied the Fever with New York and the Atlanta Dream at 3-1 in the Commissioner’s Cup standings. Indiana can make the Championship game with a win over Connecticut and a Liberty victory over the Dream. It would be a huge step for a Fever squad continuing to build momentum in the Clark era.

The only thing on the line for Connecticut in this one is pride. At 1-3, they’re long eliminated from the Cup. The Sun are 2-8 on the year and on a headlong course for collision with the lottery. It’s going to be a long season after their offseason exodus. The search for bright spots will have to wait until after the Cup is over.

The Fever are 17.5-point favorites at home and are -1650 on the Moneyline on DraftKings Sportsbook. The total is set at 165 points. Let’s look at the best bets and predictions for this contest.

Fever vs. Sun Prediction

There’s little doubt as to where this one is headed. The Fever are finally healthy and ready to continue their march. If they can keep their health, a 25+ win season and a playoff berth is well within their grasp. Meanwhile, the Sun might be lucky to cobble together 10 wins this season. Barring unforeseen circumstances, Indiana should coast through this game and finish Commissioner’s Cup play with a 4-1 record.

The question isn’t who wins this contest. It’s by how much.

Fever vs. Sun Pick

Over 165 (-112)

This Indiana team can put up points in a hurry. With Clark back at the helm, I expect them to overwhelm this Sun defense that ranks dead last in the league in defensive rating. It’s possible that they could record a second-straight 100+ point performance.

The question is: how much can the Sun provide? This Indiana defense has been strong in the early going, and could crush this team. It all comes down to Marina Mabrey, in my opinion. The sharpshooting guard has recorded 71 points across her last three games and can raise the floor of this offense. That might be enough for an over in this contest.
