Minnesota Lynx at Seattle Storm prediction, pick for Wednesday 6/11/25

The question on every WNBA fan’s mind: When will the Minnesota Lynx finally lose a game? The Seattle Storm hope they are the team to do it.

Minnesota is rolling on the strength of Napheesa Collier’s play. Last year’s DPOY and MVP runner-up, she’s on track to snatch the MVP this season. The 28-year-old is up to 25.5 points, 8.9 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 2.3 steals, and 1.4 blocks per game. On top of that, MVPhee is shooting 52.5% from the field, 42.9% from three, and 91.7% from the line. Collier could become the second player in WNBA history to join the 50/40/90 club after Elena Della Donne accomplished the feat in 2019.

If any team can stop Phee, it’s the Seattle Storm. Their elite defensive trio of Nneka Ogwumike, Ezi Magbegor, and Gabby Williams can handle players of all sizes and skills. In their previous matchup on May 27th, Seattle held Collier to 16 points on 7-of-18 shooting. A repeat performance would give them a great chance to halt Minnesota at 9-0.

The Lynx are 4.5-point favorites on the road and are -198 on the Moneyline on DraftKings Sportsbook. The total is set at 155.5 points. Let’s look at the best bets and predictions for this contest.

Prediction for Lynx vs. Storm

This should be a down-and-dirty game. I believe these are two of the league’s top 3 or 4 best defenses. Minnesota’s offense is ahead of Seattle’s by a considerable margin, but Seattle has the defensive personnel to stop what Minnesota does well.

It’s a true toss-up for me. My gut tells me the Lynx will pull this one out and move to 10-0, but this Storm team will give them a strong test. In the end, the fear wins out, and I can’t pick against the undefeated squad.

Pick for Lynx vs. Storm

Seattle Storm +4.5 (-110)

While I can’t pick the Lynx to lose, I expect this game to come down to the wire. The last time they played, Seattle lost by five as the road team. Three of Seattle’s four losses are by seven or fewer, and four of Minnesota’s wins are by six or fewer.

These Lynx have grown accustomed to gutting out wins, while Seattle has refused to be out of a game since their opening night blowout loss to Phoenix. I expect absolute cinema in this one, hopefully coming down to the last possession.

The over/under on this one put me in a bind, so I’m staying away, but even with the nature of these defenses, I think over 155.5 is a worthy shot.
