Kyle Schwarber 1+ Home Runs (+240): We start the weekend with a three-way tie atop the leaderboard for the most home runs this season, and those three players are the three most bet props for this Friday night. Schwarber has the longest odds of the three but is also getting the most action. Part of that may be due to his early start time against Andrew Heaney and the Pirates at 6:45 p.m. ET. Schwarber homered on Wednesday and has five home runs in his last 10 games with a 55.9% hard-hit rate over those 10 games. He actually has seven of his 15 homers off lefties this season despite only 35% of his at-bats on that side of the split. Even in this lefty-lefty matchup, Schwarber is a solid play since Heaney has given up five homers this season and has cooled off after a hot start.
Aaron Judge 1+ Home Runs (+160): Judge also has 15 homers on the season, putting him on pace for 57 homers on the year. Nine of his 15 long balls have come at home and nine have come against right-handed pitchers. He’s on the strong side of both those splits as he faces Tylor Megill and the Mets on Friday. Megill has allowed one home run in each of his last three starts, and Judge has hit eight homers in his last 17 games with a 54.9% hard-hit rate and 29.4% barrel rate over that stretch.
Shohei Ohtani 1+ Home Runs (+155): I highlighted Ohtani in my top home run props for the day, and the public is behind the play, making Ohtani the third-most popular player prop of the night. He’s crushing everything right now and gets a juicy matchup against Jack Kochanowicz and his former team from across town in Friday night’s matchup.
