The Eagles dominated the Chiefs to win Super Bowl LIX 40-22, but they weren’t the only winners on Sunday. DraftKings gave DFS fantasy football players a final chance to claim a “Crowning Moment” this season with the NFL Showdown $5M Super Bowl LIX Millionaire [$1M to 1st, TD Throne Eligible]. Unlike the game, the fantasy football showdown came down to the wire, and 13 entries claimed a share of the top spot with 167.77 fantasy points. The 13 entries that shared this week’s “Crowning Moment” came from Djwakeup11, scout326, ckk-244ayk, ConorBe, nerdytenor, ztrivett21, myamada, sabercat_superfan, skijmb, F0rsaken, doublejays, RMoorah and ChipotleAddict.
The winning lineup from those entries finished with almost five fantasy points clear of the rest of the field of over 67,000 entries. Here’s what it looked like:
Hurts gets the party started
With the first touchdown of the game, Jalen Hurts ($10,400; 29.04 FPTS) was well on his way to earning the MVP and delivering a strong return for these entries. Both Hurts and Patrick Mahomes ($10,000; 25.78 FPTS) were in over 65% of entries and posted solid fantasy days overall.
Hurts had two touchdown passes and 221 passing yards while also adding 72 rushing yards and this one rushing touchdown in the first quarter:

In the second quarter, it was the Eagles DST ($4,200; 18 FPTS) that stepped up with a pair of interceptions and Cooper DeJean’s return touchdown:

Second-half heroics
Wide receiver DeVonta Smith ($7,400; 16.9 FPTS) had ownership under 33% in the big contest, and he went off in the third quarter. He hauled in four catches for 69 yards, highlighted by this third-quarter score, which further extended the Eagles’ lead.

Smith wasn’t the only player who helped these entries to their “Crowning Moment” with a big second half. Kicker Jake Elliott ($4,800; 20 FPTS) had ownership under 17%, making him the winning entries’ biggest differentiator. He made one field goal over 50 yards, two more from over 40 yards and all four of his extra points. His 20 fantasy points from under $5,000 made him a great value play. See–kickers are people too!
With the game decided after Elliott’s final field goal expanded the lead to 40-6, the Chiefs added two late touchdowns. One of those scores proved to be the pivotal touchdown on the way to these entries’ “Crowning Moment.”
The winning entry had Xavier Worthy ($12,000 as Captain’s Pick; 58.05 FPTS) in the Captain’s slot. Only 7.1% of entries had Worthy as their Captain’s Pick, and he delivered with 157 receiving yards on eight catches with two touchdowns.
His final touchdown was a 50-yard bomb from Mahomes that made him the King of the End Zone, the fastest ball carrier in the game, and at the same time, boosted these entries into the top spot.
