One of the fun Novelty Prop bets available for the 2025 Super Bowl between the Chiefs and Eagles was the fastest ball carrier in the game. While Saquon Barkley was the favorite, it was Xavier Worthy that emerged as the fastest ballcarrier.
According to NFL Next Gen Stats, the fastest ball carrier was actually Cooper DeJean on his interception return for a touchdown reaching an impressive speed of 21.3 miles per hour. However, the market on DraftKings Sportsbook only applied to the listed players and was settled per official Next Get Stats. Since DeJean was not one of the listed players, Worthy earned the victory at +250 odds (you can see the full odds at the bottom of the page).
For most of the second half, it looked like DeVonta Smith would score a huge long-shot win, but with just under two minutes remaining, Patrick Mahomes hit Xavier Worthy on this long touchdown and Worthy reached a top speed of 20.99 miles per hour, according to NFL Next Gen Stats.
