Undefeated light heavyweight David Benavidez headlines Saturday’s boxing card on PBC against David Morrell. The co-main event is a rematch for the WBC Featherweight Championship as Brandon Figueroa battles Stephen Fulton. This event occurs at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. The main card is set to air at 8:00 p.m. ET, with the ringwalks expected to appear at 11:00 p.m. ET for the main event.
Here are my two best bets for Saturday’s boxing card headlined by Benavidez vs. Morrell on PBC PPV on Prime.
Stephen Fulton Moneyline (+160)
“Cool Boy Steph,” Stephen Fulton faces Brandon Figueroa for his WBC World title. Fulton won the first fight between the two, but Figueroa thought the decision was controversial. The line is close in this contest, as Fulton is currently the +160 underdog, and Figueroa is the -200 favorite.
Fulton first fought Figueroa in November 2021. The reason many were surprised by the decision was because Figueroa outlanded Fulton by 45 total punches and 51 power punches. A big reason for this was due to Fulton’s inactivity in the contest. Fulton can have a good chance to pull off this upset if he dictates the pace of the fight and attempts more punches.
Issac Cruz by KO/TKO/DQ (-105)
Since moving up to 138 pounds, Cruz is 1-1. He is coming off a loss to Jose Valenzuela in August 2024. Cruz still won four of his last five fights, with three knockouts. He faces Angel Fierro on Saturday in a 10-round super lightweight contest. Cruz is a massive -900 favorite on the moneyline, but the value is to get him by knockout at -105 on DraftKings Sportsbook.
Although Fierro has a seven-inch more extensive reach (70″ vs. 63″), Cruz is accustomed to being the smaller fighter. Even though he is coming off a loss, Cruz has a significant advantage in terms of experience. If Cruz wants another big fight on a big platform, he must remind people why his nickname is the “Pitbull.”
