Justin Thomas

The time is now deploy Justin Thomas in your One and Done golf pool. The American Express is an untraditional tournament that features three courses, but Thomas had no issues in his first attempt at this unique event a year ago, finishing T3. During the third round of this start, Thomas carded a nine-under 61 on the Pete Dye Stadium Course, which was two shots off his career-low. This was a great sign for things to come for Thomas at the American Express, given the Stadium Course is the host of this tournament, with two of the four rounds being played at that track.

This wasn’t the first time we have seen Justin Thomas flourish on a Dye design, either. He won the 2021 PLAYERS Championship at the Dye designed TPC Sawgrass and, when we compare this week’s field’s last 50 rounds at Dye courses, Thomas ranks fourth in strokes gained per round.

The 31-year-old clearly loves competing on Dye creations and Thomas returns to the American Express this week in very strong form. In his last four starts, Thomas finished seventh, runner-up, third and T26. The Alabama product has gained strokes on approach at seven consecutive tournaments and, during his T26 at the Sentry two weeks ago, Thomas closed the event with a 10-under 63, which was the lowest score of the final round.

Justin Thomas always tends to play his best golf earlier in the season — eight of his 15 wins on the PGA TOUR have come from October-to-February — and using him now in your One and Done is a smart move. On the DraftKings Sportsbook, Thomas carries the second-best odds to with the American Express this weekend at +1400.
