nThe 2024 John Deere Classic tees off from TPC Deere Run in Silvis, Illinois this week. The tournament will run from Thursday, July 4 through Sunday, July 7 with a cut after 36 holes on Friday. Sungjae Im and Jordan Spieth headline the field, and 2023 John Deere Classic winner Sepp Straka will look to defend his title over the holiday weekend.

Sungjae Im +1600
Im enters the week as the favorite to win, and ranks second in the field in total strokes gained over the last three months. Im has been on quite the roller coaster over the past few months — in his last six starts, he has finished in the top 10 four times and missed the cut twice. This stretch included a T3 finish at the Travelers Championship two weeks ago. Im participated in the John Deere Classic in 2019 and 2021 and made the cut both times. Given his recent streak of top-10 finishes, Im could take this opportunity to finally get over the hump for a PGA TOUR win.
Sepp Straka +2200
Straka is not only the defending champion of the John Deere Classic, but the field leader in total strokes gained over the last three months. He also leads the field in Strokes Gained: Tee to Green and Strokes Gained: Approach. Straka put together back-to-back T5 finishes at the end of May and beginning of June, and has two T5 finishes in signature events this season. Straka will have a good shot at grabbing a second consecutive victory at TPC Deere Run this week.
Nick Dunlap +3500
Dunlap, who is just 20 years old, became the first amateur to win a PGA TOUR event in 33 years back in January when he took home a victory at The American Express. He turned pro shortly after, and has earned several top-12 finishes since then, including a T10 at last week’s Rocket Mortgage Classic. With a manageable field in Silvis this week, Dunlap could use last week’s momentum to keep things moving and earn a second win in 2024.
