Tomorrow night, the Ultimate Fighting Championship hosts another Fight Night in Las Vegas, Nevada! No. 6 Waldo Cortes Acosta takes on Johnny Walker in a five-round heavyweight main event. Saturday’s UFC Fight Night begins at 5:00 p.m. ET with the Prelims and continues at 8:00 p.m. ET with the Main Card.
Check out my best bets and full breakdown below ahead of Saturday’s UFC Fight Night event.
Best Bets for UFC Fight Night: Cortes Acosta vs. Walker
- Johnny Walker Moneyline (+190): Although Walker has been inconsistent at times, he is coming off an excellent Heavyweight debut and has a perfect skill set to break down Cortes Acosta.
- Tatiana Suarez to Win by Submission or Decision (-205): After her first career loss, Suarez has reestablished herself as a top contender and can get the best of Jandiroba, who is too passive at times. 11 of Suarez’s 13 career wins have come by submission or decision, making it my favorite play for this contest.
- Elijah Smith to Win by KO/TKO/DQ or Submission (+100): Smith is a fascinating prospect, and when he’s aggressive, it can be a quick night for whoever is standing across from him. Four of Smith’s last six wins have come by knockout or submission, and he will likely have another opportunity against Grant, who is 16 years older.
UFC Fight Night: Cortes Acosta vs. Walker Best Bets Breakdown
Johnny Walker Moneyline (+190)
Johnny Walker, who is 23-10 with 21 finishes, recently beat Mick Parkin on October 3 at UFC 332. Walker’s win over Parkin was his first in the Heavyweight division. From August 2023 to January 2026, Cortes Acosta went 8-1 and emerged as a contender. Since then, Cortes Acosta has suffered two straight losses to Curtis Blaydes and Alexander Volkov.
Although Walker is the former Light Heavyweight, he is taller (6’6″ vs. 6’4″) and has an edge in standing reach (82″ vs. 78″). Walker weighed in at 242 pounds, while Cortes Acosta was 262 in his previous fight. Getting Walker at +190 is an excellent value play considering his upside and versatility at Heavyweight. Walker is a better athlete, which could be the difference maker in this bout.
Tatiana Suarez to Win by Submission or Decision (-205)
Two of the best fighters in the Women’s Strawweight division, No. 2 Tatiana Suarez and No. 3 Virna Jandiroba, are facing off in the co-main event. Suarez, 13-1 with nine finishes, enters this bout on a two-fight winning streak and last beat Loopy Godinez in April at UFC 327. Meanwhile, Jandiroba beat Tabatha Ricci in April and is 6-1 in her previous seven contests.
Jandiroba is a versatile fighter, but Suarez has the edge on the feet and on the ground. Suarez has the edge over Jandiroba in significant strikes per minute (2.86 vs. 2.27), takedowns per 15 minutes (4.52 vs. 3.13), and has the better striking (60% vs. 41%) and takedown (45% vs. 39%) accuracy.
On DraftKings Sportsbook, Suarez is a -205 favorite, with Jandiroba being the underdog at +170. But Suarez’s previous five wins have come by submission or decision. I’m taking Suarez to win by submission or decision at -205. Whether Suarez is searching for a submission or not, she should be able to assert her dominance over 15 minutes.
Elijah Smith to Win by KO/TKO/DQ or Submission (+100)
Saturday’s UFC Fight Night Main Card also features an intriguing Bantamweight bout between veteran Davey Grant and rising prospect Elijah Smith. Smith is 10-1 with seven finishes and has gotten off to a hot start in the UFC with three straight wins. Grant, 40, is 3-1 in his previous four contests and last beat Adrian Luna Martinetti in April.
Smith is a much more complete fighter than Grant, as he takes advantage of opponents in every area. Although Grant has the edge in significant strikes per minute (5.58 vs. 4.18), Smith is the more accurate striker (48% vs. 45%) while absorbing fewer strikes (2.96 vs. 4.04).
In this fight, I believe Smith’s explosiveness and athletic advantage will be major factors. Since Smith is a -325 favorite, I’m taking him to win by KO/TKO/DQ or submission at +100. Smith has won his last two fights by finish and has picked up four of his previous six victories by knockout or submission.
