Bulls vs. 76ers Game Preview
Chicago Bulls
As expected, the Bulls have gotten off to a turbulent start to the 2026-27 campaign. Facing a tough early-season schedule with an overhauled roster and a new head coach, they’ve gone just 1–5 while ranking near the bottom of the league in offensive rating (25th), defensive rating (28th), and net rating (29th).
With Josh Giddey and Matas Buzelis mired in early-season slumps, the Chicago offense has revolved discordantly around recruit Norman Powell and fourth-overall pick Caleb Wilson. The Bulls head into Monday ranked 24th league-wide in turnovers per game. Meanwhile, their defense has been completely porous, allowing the NBA’s most opponent points per game at 129.3.
Philadelphia 76ers
Although the 76ers are still figuring out how to put all the pieces together, it’s been easy to trust the process while the franchise makes room for two perennial All-Stars. Philadelphia has powered through early offensive struggles, jumping out to a 6–1 start following the blockbuster additions of Jaylen Brown and LeBron James.
While the others work to find their rhythm offensively, Tyrese Maxey remains the catalyst, ranking second in the NBA with 29.6 points per game. Meanwhile, each player has bought in on the other end — Philadelphia ranks third in defensive rating early on. Joel Embiid may be questionable for Monday’s game, but the 76ers’ lineup has proven loaded enough to manage absences: with Embiid and LeBron sidelined on Saturday, Maxey erupted for 38 points to power the team past the Hornets.
Bulls vs. 76ers Pick, Best Bet
Even with Joel Embiid questionable for Monday night, the superteam Sixers remain an Avengers-level threat in the NBA. With them back at home against one of the league’s shakiest squads, Monday’s box score should reflect anything but Brotherly Love.
