BREAK IT DOWN:
Alperen Sengun 15+ Points (-315): Sengun missed the last two games for the Rockets with a bad back, but the public is on him to score at least 15 points if he returns to action on Saturday when the Rockets host the Thunder. His status is uncertain, so watch the injury report carefully. OKC lost Chet Holmgren (knee) to a significant injury, along with Jalen Williams (leg) and Cason Wallace (shoulder), so its defense could be much less effective, especially at the rim. Sengun has been very solid in his four games for Houston this season, averaging 24.5 points in 34 minutes per game. He has scored at least 17 points in every contest, so even though the odds are very short, the public is jumping on his over 15 points in a potential return on Saturday.
Tyrese Maxey 25+ Points (-235): In one of the two early games, Maxey and the Sixers finish their back-to-back with a matinee against the Hornets. Joel Embiid and LeBron James both played on Friday in the NBA Cup game against the Knicks, but they could sit out the second game of the back-to-back. Jaylen Brown (knee) missed the first game of the back-to-back but could return. Regardless of the rest of the lineup around him, though, Maxey has been outstanding this season and has scored at least 26 points in every game, averaging 28.2 points in 38 minutes per game. Maxey will get a good matchup against Charlotte, which is still without Coby White (calf) and Kon Knueppel (hamstring) and is also finishing a back-to-back after scoring a disappointing 79 points in a road loss to the Wizards on Friday.
Jarrett Allen 1st Points Scorer (+402): Allen has the shortest odds of all players in the game between the Cavs and Bucks to score the first basket of the game. The odds are still long, though, since the first point scorer in any contest is extremely unpredictable. Allen has scored the first point in two of his five games this season, and the Cavs have won the tip in three of their five games. The Bucks have only won the tip twice in their five games and have two first baskets, while the Cavs have scored first in four of their five games, led by the big man. Allen is the only member of the team with multiple first baskets, and he’s a solid option that the public is getting behind on this quick-hitter this Saturday night.
3-PICK PARLAY:
Taking three of the most-bet player props individually is always an option, but why not roll them into a parlay and get in on all the action at once? It’s a fun way to tie everything together — feel free to tag along.
