The VidantaWorld Mexico Open will be played at Vidanta Vallarta (par 71, 7,337 yards, paspalum greens), where it has been hosted since it joined the PGA TOUR schedule in 2022. Brian Campbell (-20) won this event last season by defeating Aldrich Potgieter in a playoff. For this week, there will be 120 players competing, and a top-65 and ties cut after the first two rounds.
Below, I have featured my two favorite bets for the VidantaWorld Mexico Open on DraftKings Sportsbook.
Best Bets for the 2026 VidantaWorld Mexico Open
Luke Clanton for a top-20 finish, including ties (+220)
Sitting 126th in the FedEx Cup Fall standings, Clanton has some ground to make up the next few weeks. Following the FedEx Cup Fall series, which ends next month, only the top 100 earn full PGA TOUR status for next season, while players finishing 101–150 can retain varying levels of conditional status.
Clanton knows the stakes are high right now, and he has been terrific in his last two starts, finishing T7 at the Bank of Utah Championship and T11th at the Butterfield Bermuda Championship. Clanton gained strokes on approach and with his putter at both these tournaments. Plus, he has shot under par in all seven of his rounds during this stretch, most notably with a 9-under 62 at the Black Desert Resort, matching his career-low.
Clanton was the No.1 ranked amateur in the world in 2024 before turning professional last year, and he finally appears to be finding his groove on the PGA TOUR after an up-and-down season. Clanton’s form is undeniable right now, and while he has never competed at Vidanta Vallarta before, this course features paspalum greens, which is a great sign for Clanton. The former Florida State Seminole’s best finish on the PGA TOUR since turning professional came on paspalum putting surfaces, when he finished T5 at the Puerto Rico Open in March.
Chandler Blanchet for a top-30 finish including ties (+245)
Just like Clanton, Blanchet is a Mexico Open debutant that we saw flourish on paspalum greens at the Puerto Rico Open in March, finishing runner-up by one stroke, which is his best PGA TOUR finish to date. Blanchet ranked 12th in PPR that week, and he ranks third in this field in strokes gained per round at courses with paspalum putting surfaces, making him a strong match for Vidanta Vallarta.
Blanchet won twice on the Korn Ferry Tour last season, and he has been excellent on the PGA TOUR as of late, making five of his last six cuts with three top-25 finishes. Blanchet most recently finished T6 at the Butterfield Bermuda Championship this past week. The 30-year-old fired off a career-low 9-under 62 in the first round at Port Royal Golf Club. He gained strokes in every major category except around the greens, including 3.6 strokes on approach, which ranked 13th for the event.
Blanchet has gained strokes on approach in three straight starts, and he should continue to thrive at Vidanta Vallarta. For three years running, the winner at this track has finished the event top-eight in SG APP.
