DraftKings Fantasy Golf Picks: 2026 VidantaWorld Mexico Open Predictions, Preview

By: Alex Hunter

Following the early conclusion of the Butterfield Bermuda Championship won by Austin Smotherman, the fall swing continues this week with the VidantaWorld Mexico Open at Vidanta Vallarta (par 71, 7,337 yards, paspalum greens). This event was added to the PGA TOUR schedule in 2022, and Vidanta Vallarta has hosted every edition since. Brian Campbell (-20) is the defending champion after beating Aldrich Potgieter in a playoff a year ago. There will be 120 players competing, and a top-65 and ties cut this week.

Below, I’ll dive into three of my favorite DFS options on DraftKings for the VidantaWorld Mexico Open.

Top Golf DFS Picks for the 2026 VidantaWorld Mexico Open

Blades Brown ($9,000)

Brown finished a solid T34th in his debut at Vidanta Vallarta last season as the 1,710 ranked player in the world. Now, Brown returns to Mexico, sitting 95th in the world rankings. The 19-year-old just finished runner-up at the Korn Ferry Tour Championship in his last start, and he has finished T17th or better in seven of his past 10 starts between the PGA TOUR and Korn Ferry Tour.

Brown is an excellent all-around player who has gained strokes across the board in three of his past four starts on the PGA TOUR and his best performance on the PGA TOUR this season is a solo third place finish at the Puerto Rico Open in March. This performance bodes well for Brown’s chances this week, as the Puerto Rico Open was played on paspalum greens at the Grand Reserve Golf Club, which is the type of putting surface the 19-year-old will be competing on at Vidanta Vallarta.

Brown ranks ninth in total strokes gained when we compare this field’s results at courses with paspalum putting surfaces. Furthermore, the budding star ranks second in total strokes gained when we compare this field’s last 24 rounds. Brown should contend this week and is an awesome spend at $9,000.

Billy Horschel ($7,400)

Horschel needs to have a strong fall swing to retain his PGA TOUR card for next season – the veteran sits 94th in the FedEx Cup Fall standings, and only the top-100 earn cards – and he is doing exactly that. Horschel has made five of his last six cuts with four top-25 finishes during this span.

The eight-time PGA TOUR winner has gained strokes on approach at four straight tournaments, and he has shot 68 or better in 12 of his last 16 rounds, including back-to-back 4-under 67s to close out the Baycurrent Classic in his last start.

Horschel ranks seventh in total strokes gained when we compare this field’s last 24 rounds, and while he has never competed at Vidanta Vallarta before, his game suits this venue. Horschel’s last win came on paspalum greens at the 2024 Corales Puntacana Championship, and he ranks sixth in this field in strokes gained per round at venues with this type of green.

Dylan Wu ($6,600)

Wu is another player who has his sights on earning his PGA TOUR card for next season. The veteran currently sits 151st in the FedEx Cup standings, and Wu has been elevating his game as he looks to reach this feat.

Wu has made four of his last five cuts, and in his last two starts, he finished T32nd at the Bank of Utah Championship and T17th at the Butterfield Bermuda Championship. Wu has shot under par in 11 consecutive rounds, and he gained strokes in every major category at Port Royal Golf Club this past week, outside with his putter.

Wu now heads to Vidanta Vallarta, where he has finished T15th and T24th in his last two starts at the par 71. He also finished T14th at the 2024 World Wide Technology Championship, which was played at another Mexico-based course that features paspalum greens in El Cardonal at Diamante. Wu ranks 11th in this field in strokes gained per round at venues in Mexico, and he should keep his foot on the gas with at least a top-30 finish this weekend.
