Boston Bruins Fantasy Hockey Matchups

Bruins vs. Hurricanes Matchup Preview for October 27

  • Carolina enters Tuesday with an NHL-best 20 points and a 9-2-2 record. The Hurricanes finished their five-game road trip with a 4-0 win over St. Louis and have earned at least one point in nine of their last 10 games.
  • The Hurricanes rank fourth in both goals scored and goals allowed per game. They are also averaging the second-most shots in the NHL at 33.9 while surrendering the second-fewest at 22.4 per contest, creating Boston’s most difficult fantasy matchup of the week.
  • Sebastian Aho leads Carolina with 18 points, while Logan Stankoven has a team-high eight goals. Pyotr Kochetkov is 7-0-0 with a 1.70 goals-against average, a .916 save percentage and one shutout.
  • Seth Jarvis recently returned from offseason shoulder surgery and is expected to make his first home appearance of the season. Defenseman Alexander Nikishin is back with the organization but is not expected to make his season debut Tuesday.

Bruins vs. Blues Matchup Preview for October 29

  • St. Louis begins the week at 5-5-1 after being shut out 4-0 by Carolina on Saturday. The Blues host Montreal on Tuesday before Boston arrives, making Thursday their second game in three nights.
  • The Blues have scored and allowed 3.18 goals per game. Their special teams have been more productive, with both the power play and penalty kill ranking 10th in the NHL.
  • Mason McTavish shares the St. Louis lead with six goals and 10 points through 11 games. His 31 shots lead the team, making him the Blues’ most reliable early-season fantasy option.
  • Joel Hofer has separated himself from Jordan Binnington in goal, posting a 4-3-1 record, a 2.40 goals-against average and a .917 save percentage. Binnington is 1-2-0 with a 4.68 goals-against average and an .831 save percentage.

Blackhawks vs. Bruins Matchup Preview for October 31

  • Chicago enters the week at 3-8-0 with a minus-19 goal differential. The Blackhawks rank 31st in scoring, goals allowed per game and shots per game while sitting last in power-play percentage.
  • Patrick Kane leads Chicago with seven points, while Connor Bedard has recorded two goals and five points in five appearances since returning from an upper-body injury. No other Blackhawks player has emerged as a consistent offensive producer.
  • Spencer Knight has handled most of the goaltending workload, going 3-6-0 with a 3.48 goals-against average and an .891 save percentage. Chicago has allowed 30.6 shots per game and owns a team save percentage of around .880.
  • The Blackhawks host Los Angeles on Tuesday and visit Detroit on Thursday before traveling to Boston. Saturday will therefore be their third game in five nights and the final stop of a two-game road trip.

Golden Knights vs. Bruins Matchup Preview for November 2

  • Vegas begins the week at 8-4-1 with a plus-nine goal differential. The Golden Knights rank eighth in scoring and inside the top 10 in goals allowed per game, giving Boston another difficult matchup to close the week.
  • Jack Eichel leads Vegas with 19 points through 13 games, while Mark Stone has produced a team-high eight goals and 15 points. The pair has driven an offense averaging 3.54 goals per game.
  • The Golden Knights’ power play has converted 24.4% of its opportunities, but their penalty kill ranks 28th at 67.7%. That discrepancy could create additional fantasy value for Boston’s power-play unit.
  • Vegas hosts Ottawa on Tuesday and New Jersey on Friday before visiting Boston on Monday. The Golden Knights will have two days of rest after Friday’s game, while Boston will be playing on one day of rest after hosting Chicago on Saturday.
