There will be a four game slate tonight, tipping off at 7:30 PM ET between the Nets and the Celtics. The Pistons will visit the Knicks at 8, the Kings will visit the Spurs at the same time, while the Blazers will visit the Lakers at 11 PM.
There are plenty of opportunities to get involved in the action this evening in Pick6 Fantasy Basketball! This article will look at my top Pick6 plays for tonight’s slate. We simply choose whether a player will record more or less of the set statistic. Here are my favorite plays for today’s action.
Zach LaVine More than 21.5 Points
There’s a sizable gap between LaVine’s 21.5 line and the workload he’s actually been handling for Sacramento. LaVine is putting up 29 PPG through three games, scoring 28, 22, and 37 points while taking 19.7 FGA. He’s also putting up nine three-point attempts and 7.7 free throw attempts per game, which suggests that he isn’t shy about letting it fly. The deflated line tonight is most likely due to the matchup against a tough Spurs defense that features the French phenom lurking near the rim, but LaVine’s ability to stretch the floor could keep him launching from beyond the arc rather than cutting into the paint. With Keegan Murray sidelined, Sacramento needs LaVine’s scoring more than ever, especially with the Kings still searching for their first win on the season . He’s played 34, 39, and 40 minutes in his first three appearances, and that kind of volume makes 21.5 points an appealing target.

Deni Avdija More than 34.5 PRA
Avdija didn’t clear 34.5 PRA in Portland’s season opener against Phoenix, but he played only 23 minutes as the Blazers cruised to a 41-point victory. He followed that up with 26 points, seven rebounds, and six assists against Sacramento, finishing with 39 PRA in 38 minutes. This isn’t a new level of production for Avdija, either, as he averaged 24.2 PPG, 6.9 RPG, and 6.7 APG last season, good for 37.8 PRA.
With Shaedon Sharpe sidelined and Scoot Henderson questionable, Avdija should remain one of Portland’s primary scoring and playmaking options, even if those playmaking opportunities are diminished this season with Portland’s logjam of guards. The Lakers have allowed 115.0 PPG through three games while leading the NBA in scoring themselves at 128.0 PPG, setting up a matchup that could require Avdija to remain heavily involved offensively. There could be a shootout tonight.

Domantas Sabonis More than 12.5 Rebounds
Sacramento has opened the season with three straight Ls, but Sabonis is officially back. He’s averaging 17.3 RPG, picking up 18, 19, and 15 boards in his first three appearances, including 13 total offensive rebounds. He’ll have to battle it out inside against Victor Wembanyama, but Wemby’s unique build isn’t well equipped to handle sturdy bodies like Sabonis, even if he’ll have a big reach advantage. The Kings remain shorthanded up front without Keegan Murray, Maxime Raynaud, and Dylan Cardwell, which should help Sabonis maintain his current workload of 35.6 MPG.
San Antonio has allowed opponents to collect 44.3 RPG through three games, and although Wemby presents a challenging matchup, Sabonis has demonstrated that he’s willing to control the glass.
