Home field has not been advantageous in this series, as the road team won three of the first five games, with Tampa Bay winning the last two on the road to go up 3-2. Now the Rays go back home for two chances to advance to face the Milwaukee Brewers in the World Series. Can Cleveland return the favor and win two straight in Tampa Bay? It’s going to be a massive undertaking, especially since Tampa Bay was tied for the best home record in MLB during the regular season. That said, the Guardians did take Game 2 in Tampa Bay.
Opening Odds for Game 6 of 2026 ALCS on DraftKings Sportsbook
DraftKings Sportsbook favors Tampa Bay at -137 to win Game 6 and advance to the World Series, while Cleveland sits as a +113 underdog to extend the series for one more game.

Freddy Peralta gets the nod for Tampa Bay. Peralta was bad when he first arrived in Tampa Bay, but the Rays’ pitch doctors got to work and tweaked some mechanics and pitch mix stuff. After the fourth start, Peralta has been lights out, but he was very fortunate with a low BABIP and high strand rate. Nothing changed in the playoffs and Peralta went six innings, walking two, striking out six and allowing only four hits without an earned run in Game 2 against Cleveland.
Cleveland has not announced a starter yet.
