We’ve got a classic NFC battle on Sunday Night Football in Week 6, as the Dallas Cowboys travel to Lambeau Field to take on the Green Bay Packers.
It’s been a bit of an underwhelming start to the season for both teams, yet either could make a huge statement with a dominant performance in front of a national audience on NBC. Conversely, another poor showing would have these coaching staffs in a bit of hot water, as expectations are always high for these historic franchises.
With all that said, all we care about in this article is who finds the end zone first. Let’s break down the first touchdown scorer odds on the DraftKings Sportsbook and make a couple of picks.
Cowboys vs. Packers First Touchdown Scorer Odds

Cowboys vs. Packers First Touchdown Scorer Picks
Javonte Williams First TD Scorer (+425)
There’s no need to get too complex on the Cowboys side of the ledger. Javonte Williams enters Week 6 tied with Jaxon Smith-Njigba for the fourth-most touchdowns in the NFL (7), and the running back has been exceedingly timely about when he finds pay dirt. In fact, Williams has scored Dallas’ first touchdown in three straight contests, with two of those scores being the first of the entire game, including last Thursday versus the Buccaneers. This all really shouldn’t come as too much of a shock. Williams enjoys one of the largest RB roles in the league, seeing 76.9% of the Cowboys’ offensive snaps and 74.1% of the team’s rushing attempts inside the red zone — the fifth-highest share in football. If Dallas is near the goal line, Williams will see the ball.
Matthew Golden First TD Scorer (+1100)
I can’t lie. I thought I was going to get a little more value from Golden in this market, especially with Christian Watson (+950), who is second in the NFL in receiving touchdowns (6), sitting so close in odds. C’est la vie. I still want to highlight Golden. The sophomore wideout is having a breakout campaign in Green Bay. Heck, his 397 receiving yards through five games is more than he managed in his whole rookie season. Golden also leads all Packers WRs in target rate on a route basis, having had the ball thrown his way on a whopping 27.2% of his 162 routes run. Crucially for betting purposes, that volume stays consistent in the red zone, with Golden tied with Watson for the team-lead in targets inside the opponent’s 20-yard line (7). Any way you slice it, Golden has one of the higher expected touchdown rates on this roster and in this Sunday Night Football game.
