You Can See Everything, the latest project from Nathan Fielder, is almost upon us. The documentary, centered around former Silicon Valley CEO Elizabeth Holmes, represents a bold new step in Fielder’s career. We don’t know much in terms of what will be on screen, but the movie promises to be unlike anything else coming out this year.
Before You Can See Everything makes its theatrical release, let’s break down everything you need to know.
When does You Can See Everything come out?
You Can See Everything releases in theaters on Friday, October 16th.
What to expect from You Can See Everything
Fielder is usually picky when it comes to choosing his next undertaking. The actor, comedian and director most recently filmed The Rehearsal Season 2, which released in 2025. One year prior, he co-created The Curse, acting alongside Academy Award winner Emma Stone. Fielder’s popularity grew during his Comedy Central series Nathan For You (2013-2017), in which he portrayed a socially awkward, business-minded version of himself.
Details have been sparse so far for You Can See Everything. The basic summary on Rotten Tomatoes is the following:
Thirty-four days before she’s sent to prison, notorious Silicon Valley founder Elizabeth Holmes invites a skeptical film crew to document her every move. What begins as an intimate portrait of an enigmatic felon becomes a mind-bending three-year journey into the abyss.
Holmes was the founder of health technology company Theranos, soon becoming the youngest female billionaire in the United States. However, her business empire collapsed during the mid-2010s due to accusations of misleading both investors and the government. In 2022, a federal grand jury convicted Holmes on three counts of wire fraud and one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud. She was eventually sentenced to 11 1/4 years in prison, beginning in May of 2023.
Fielder and co-director Lance Oppenheim (Primetime, Some Kind of Heaven) were invited to film at the home of Holmes and partner Billy Evans later that year. Much of the documentary’s footage takes place during the month leading up to Holmes’ imprisonment. However, as seen during the previous summary, filming would continue for over three years. Based off of that description, it’s clear that You Can See Everything will have some unexpected twists and turns during its nearly three-hour runtime.
