Major League Baseball has a great playoff doubleheader this Sunday, with a pair of Game 2s from the National League. The Milwaukee Brewers took Game 1 on Saturday in a dramatic win, and they’ll look to take a commanding 2-0 series lead in Game 2 against the visiting San Diego Padres. Game 2 starts at 4:00 p.m. ET, so let’s dive into the matchup and take a look at my top three best bets from the player prop market.
In the big picture, the Brewers are slight home favorites at -136 on the Moneyline, and they are getting 60% of the bets on the Moneyline as of Sunday afternoon. The over/under is 7.0 runs, with 59% of the bets on the over.
For each Major League Baseball matchup, DraftKings Sportsbook has a wide variety of batter and pitcher props on the board, so let’s take a look at my top plays from this Game21 Padres-Brewers matchup on Saturday night.
Padres at Brewers Prop Bets for Sunday 10/4/26
Michael King 6+ strikeouts (+137)
King has been the Padres best pitcher down the stretch, and he’ll be on the mound looking to help his team level the series. He dominated in the Wild Card series against the Cubs, giving up just one hit and three walks over seven scoreless innings. He piled up eight strikeouts against the Cubs. The 31-year-old righty threw 62 of his 97 pitches for strikes and generated 17 whiffs.
King only had 159 strikeouts in 185 innings this season, but over his last six starts of the regular season, he racked up 31 strikeouts in 36 innings. He produced at least six strikeouts in four of his last six contests, and the Padres will lean on him in Game 2.
In Game 1, the Brewers struck out nine times, and King faced the Brewers once this season, striking out five in 5 2/3 innings while allowing one run on six hits. He will look to continue his recent momentum and has a good chance to get to six strikeouts and deliver a nice plus-money payout on Sunday afternoon.
Jackson Chourio 2+ Total Bases (+157)
I had Chourio in my top home run props yesterday, and Chourio delivered while going 1-for-4. He is hitting leadoff in Game 2 against King and the Padres, and he has a good chance to produce at least two total bases in Game 2.
Chourio finished the regular season with good momentum and has produced 2.3 total bases per contest over his last 10 games. He
With his Game 1 homer, he has multiple total bases in four of his last five games. In the playoffs, Chourio has gone 16-for-48 (.333) with five home runs and has produced 2+ total bases in six of his last 10 postseason contests. He doesn’t have to go yard again to hit this prop since he can get to a green here with multiple singles or any extra-base hit.
Ty France 2+ Hits + Runs + RBI (+116)
France hit a controversial fly out in Game 1 that might have been a go-ahead homer if it hadn’t hit a cable from the roof.
He went 1-for-4, finishing under this HRR (hits, runs and RBI) prop for the first time this postseason. He went 2-for-4 in each of the Padres’ two wins over the Cubs, piling up six HRR in those two games.
France went 25-for-76 (.329) in his last 20 regular-season games, producing 48 HRR in 20 games (2.4 HRR per game). The 32-year-old righty has a good history against Brewers starter Logan Henderson. France is 2-for-3 with a home run in their past meetings, and he’ll be right in the mix of all the Padres offense again for Game 2, especially if he can avoid hitting any cables with fly balls.
Another way to be more aggressive is to combine these three Game 2 props into a Same Game Parlay on DraftKings Sportsbook. The odds of that SGP stack up to a strong +1000.
