Full fantasy football Week 4 cheatsheet: must-start WRs/RBs, FLEX rankings, injury replacements

You can feel it, I’m sure. Autumn out there, sharpening its edges. A chill through the screen door. Leaves scraping along the pavement. That late-afternoon glare through the windshield, with the sun already, somehow, so very low. Beneath the trees, deeper, sharper shadows. Above it all reigns the harvest moon, full and splendid, illuminating the way forward re. how to manage the remainder of the football season.

Because trading before Week 4 sometimes means selling a player before his coach has figured out how to use him. Or buying somebody whose September production you’ll spend October begging him to repeat. I prefer to give these arrangements four games, when I can. But that’s just how I hande my business. Let the rookie earn his snaps, you know? Let the quarterback develop a preference. Let somebody disappoint me enough that I can explain, with some precision, why I’m finally willing to dispense of him, be rid of his fruition—or lack there of.

After this week, I’ll begin making those decisions with conviction. Big-league trade talks. Waiver claims. An overhaul of a bench we stocked so lovingly a month ago. You’ve watched where the opportunities go; now you can, by my measure, freely cut the players where the opportunities do not.

For now, though, we’ve got one more Sunday before taking inventory. Hang your finest harvest moon of a lineup over the changing landscape. I’d like to greet the colder weather with a win.

A win for which, hopefully, I’ve got the right stashes below. I’ve also got my full FLEX rankings, plenty of injury replacements, and the rest of the suite of my Five Lists of Five: Week 4 Edition.

This is your Sunday roundup. Best of luck in Week 4, everyone.
