Below, I break down my favorite player prop bets for this week’s college football game between the Clemson Tigers and the Miami Hurricanes.

Here’s how I’ll play it. I’ll be pumping out these predictions for individual games all season, with plenty of coverage here on DraftKings Network. Follow my handle @dansby_edits for more betting plays.

Clemson vs. Miami player props

Malachi Toney 9+ receptions (+100)

Malachi Toney has caught 34 passes through four games, a formidable workload within a Miami offense that has frequently taken control early. His six catches for 120 yards against Central Michigan illustrate both the appeal and the complication: he can dominate a game while finishing below a demanding reception line.

Clemson should provide more resistance, especially in the secondary. That can reduce Toney’s yards per catch while keeping Darian Mensah throwing deeper into the game. I would expect Miami to continue finding their leading receiver on shorter completions as well as the explosive opportunities that have helped produce his 141-yard average.

At 8.5 receptions, I favor the over, subject to Toney retaining his normal workload. Seven catches would sit below his season average while still requiring meaningful involvement against stronger coverage. Clemson’s offense could undermine that opportunity if turnovers hand Miami short fields and accelerate another blowout. The reception case improves if the Tigers sustain enough offense to make Mensah keep answering through the second half.

Tait Reynolds u179.5 total passing yards (-110)

Tait Reynolds completed 14 of 22 passes for only 106 yards against California, a modest 4.8 yards per attempt. Clemson won 24-10, but a punt-return touchdown contributed to that margin. Their passing game still has considerable development ahead of it, particularly against a defense capable of forcing longer third downs.

Miami should present that test. The Hurricanes’ rushing defense can challenge the ground game Clemson have relied upon since Reynolds took over, and repeated passing situations would ask the freshman to sustain an offense he has largely supplemented. His mobility remains useful; some of his successful escapes will add rushing yards while leaving this passing total untouched.

I like under at 179.5 or higher. The danger is volume if Miami build a lead and Clemson spend the second half throwing, particularly against reserve defenders. I’m allowing for more attempts than Reynolds had against California. His recent efficiency leaves room for that increase while still finishing below 180, provided the Hurricanes prevent the occasional deep completion from doing most of the work.
