WR Start/Sit Week 4: Fantasy Football Wide Receiver Picks

Published:

By: Jeff Pratt

Looking for Week 4 WR start/sit picks? Here are the wide receivers to start and sit in your fantasy football lineups. WR is the position with the widest range of potential outcomes in fantasy, as there are a myriad of variables that factor into a receiver’s weekly production. Following key injuries across the league through three weeks, most fantasy managers have difficult lineup decisions to make. Let’s break down my Week 4 fantasy WR start/sit picks.

Fantasy Football Week 4 WR Start/Sit: Wide Receiver Picks

Wide receivers to start: Josh Downs, Terry McLaurin
Wide receivers to sit: Ladd McConkey, Jameson Williams

Week 4 WR Start: Josh Downs at Commanders

We’re dealing with production by elimination in Indianapolis, and Josh Downs appears to be the last man standing.

Following Alec Pierce’s latest injury, Downs was left as the clear No. 1 receiver for Daniel Jones. The 25-year-old has flashed immense talent at times but struggled to stay on the field due to injuries. Now healthy, Downs has a few contests as the top target under his belt and the production fits the bill of a fantasy WR2.

Across Weeks 2 and 3, Downs saw 20 targets, hauling in 12 of them for 149 yards. He’s failed to find the end zone so far this year, but that could easily change against the Commanders. Washington has allowed by far the most fantasy points to receivers in 2026, putting Downs firmly in must-start territory.

Week 4 WR Sit: Ladd McConkey at Seahawks

The first start of the week at WR highlighted a fantastic matchup for Josh Downs to take on. The exact opposite is the case for a struggling Ladd McConkey entering Week 4.

McConkey draws the Seahawks, who surrender the third-fewest fantasy points to receivers per contest. After a strong season debut, the third-year receiver failed to get anything going against the Raiders or Bills, amassing a combined 17.1 points over those contests. The 0-3 Chargers are floundering without an end in sight, and their issues will likely persist against Seattle. Keep McConkey on your bench until he, Justin Herbert and company bounce back.

Week 4 WR Start: Terry McLaurin vs. Colts

No Jayden Daniels, no problem for Terry McLaurin?

That’s what it seemed like against an elite Seattle secondary, as McLaurin commanded nine targets, hauling in six of them for 77 yards and a touchdown. It was the second straight outing Scary Terry saw nine targets in, suggesting he has reclaimed his role as Washington’s WR1.

McLaurin and Marcus Mariota’s rapport should carry over into a favorable Week 4 matchup with the Colts, who have surrendered significant fantasy points to receivers this year. Fire Terry up as a strong WR2.

Week 4 WR Sit: Jameson Williams at Panthers

Despite fantasy managers having high hopes heading into the 2026 season, the immensely infuriating Jameson Williams experience has continued through three weeks. Williams is a game-breaker, capable of taking any touch to the end zone. The issue is, his usage is wildly inconsistent.

Williams hasn’t scored double-digit fantasy points in a game yet this season. In Week 1, at least he saw nine targets, suggesting an expanded role in Detroit’s offense. However, he amassed just eight combined looks over the subsequent two contests. There’s little room for optimism that he’ll be able to break out against the Panthers, who have surrendered the second-fewest fantasy points to receivers this season.

Those are my Week 4 WR start/sit fantasy picks. Stay tuned for more start ’em, sit ’em content over the rest of the week!
