Davante Adams Anytime Touchdown Pick for Rams vs. Broncos

To close out a busy Sunday of NFL action, the Los Angeles Rams are visiting the Mile High City to take on the Denver Broncos. Each team lost in Week 1 but bounced back nicely with a win in Week 2. A huge part of the Rams’ rebound was a throwback performance from Davante Adams against the Giants. On DraftKings Sportsbook, Los Angeles is favored by 1.5 points on the road in this matchup, which carries a total of 44.5 points.

Below, I break down my favorite Davante Adams prop bet for Sunday night’s matchup, focusing on his anytime touchdown line against Denver.

Adams should be the Rams’ top receiver for a second straight week, with Puka Nacua still sidelined for a second straight game with a groin injury. In Week 1 in Melbourne, while playing alongside Nacua, Adams caught three of six targets for 26 yards. Without Puca, Adams caught eight of his 10 targets for 195 receiving yards in Week 2.

The Broncos’ secondary is a much tougher matchup for Adams than the Giants, though. In Week 1, they held the Chiefs WR to just five catches for 37 yards. In Week 2, they held the Jaguars WR to only 11 catches for 166 yards. Parker Washington was the best of the bunch, with 98 yards and seven catches on 12 targets. While Washington’s success could indicate there’s a pathway for Adams to get to the over on his receiving yards line of 70.5 yards, I prefer targeting his anytime touchdown prop at much better odds.

Adams had two touchdowns last week against the Giants, and last year he had 14 touchdowns in 14 regular-season games in his first season with the Rams. Matthew Stafford clearly looks to Adams in the red zone and in the end zone, and with so many targets heading his way, Adams has a good chance to get into the end zone again in Week 3.

Adams scored three touchdowns in his last three games against the Broncos, all of those games coming when he was playing for the Raiders. With Stafford giving him much better QB play than during his time in the silver and black, Adams will look to get back into the end zone and help his Rams improve to 2-1 with a second straight primetime victory.
