DJ Moore Start or Sit Advice for Week 3
After being listed as questionable with a shoulder injury, Moore ($5,800) is expected to play Sunday vs. the Chargers, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Moore suffered the shoulder injury in last week’s win over the Lions, but he was able to get two limited practices in this week. Moore was positive about the injury at practice, telling the media: “felt great, still gotta go through some things, but we’ll be good”.
Moore looks like he will be a full-go Sunday and this is a terrific matchup, as the Chargers have been a pass funnel defense this season, giving up the fewest yards per rush (2.7), but the sixth-most yards per pass (8.0). 72.1% of Moore’s routes this season have come out wide and Los Angeles is allowing the second-most touchdowns (3), fifth-most catches (21) and eighth-most yards to players who line up outside (295).
Moore went without a catch in Week 2, as he only played 23 snaps before exiting, but in Week 1, he caught 5-of-8 targets for 100 yards and a touchdown vs. the Texans. Moore scored 24 FPTS, making him the No.8 receiver for Week 1.
Moore led Buffalo with an 81% route rate in Week 1 and he should see this type of workload in Week 3. Moore is garnering a target on 20% of his routes and he is averaging 2.86 YPPR this season, both of which are very encouraging.
The Bills’ 29.5-point implied team total on DraftKings Sportsbook is the highest for Week 3 and Moore is a must-start play that brings big upside.
