The Traitors is back with a new season, dubbed The Traitors: New Blood. This is the first-ever all-civilian season of the U.S. iteration of the show. Episodes 3 and 4 should lead to some massive twists and turns as more players get booted from the castle.
After a two-episode premiere last week, there are two more episodes in Week 2 of the new season as well! Here is a full recap of both episodes.
Who Was Murdered on The Traitors Tonight?
Xavier was murdered face-to-face by the traitors after Katie was picked to be the third traitor.
The next night, the traitors chose to murder Logan.
Who Was Banished on The Traitors Tonight?
Arisa was banished at the roundtable, receiving just a couple of more votes than Victor. She was, of course, a faithful.
Who Was Named a Traitor on The Traitors: New Blood Episodes 3 & 4?
The original traitors selected were Tomica and Joe. They selected Xavier and Katie as their accomplices. They decided to select Katie to be their fellow traitor.
What Happened on The Traitors: New Blood Episode 3?
Episode 2 left off with Xavier and Katie, the two accomplices, trying to successfully pull off their mission of retrieving a death warrant. They both retrieved a death warrant, meaning the traitors will get to pick which of the two they want to be a traitor and which one will be murdered. Tomica and Joe decided to choose Katie to join their ranks, meaning Xavier was murdered.
While Xavier left the castle, the seeds he planted remained. He had tried to throw his fellow accomplice, Katie, under the bus to get her banished at the first roundtable. While that didn’t work, she was one of the names with the most attention on her the next day, following Xavier’s death. Victor was also one of the most discussed names after receiving the second-most votes at the previous night’s roundtable.
The next challenge saw the group have to haul a battering ram up the mountain to three different crypts. They then had to knock down the doors on those crypts with the battering ram and retrieve the gold inside, while also looking for shields. At the second crypt, Tomica and Clyde decided to take a shield and protect them both (although, of course, Tomica could not be murdered). Tomica chose to let Clyde take the shield, but they chose not to share what happened.
Michael and Ben went into the third crypt and had the choice between $15,000 or $5,000 and secret traitor information. They chose to take the $5,000 and the clue. It was revealed to them that two players battled in plain sight to become a traitor. That means the group only won $15,000 in the challenge, half of the possible prize money.
What Happened on The Traitors: New Blood Episode 4?
The roundtable saw Katie, Victor and players who went for shields during the challenge take most of the attention. Arisa and Victor ended up taking the bulk of the votes. Ultimately, Arisa received the most votes and was banished from the castle. The three traitors all survived the roundtable. The players they selected to put on the chopping block to be murdered were Logan, Abby L. and Mark. The traitors decided to kill Logan because he is too smart and too outspoken. However, this move could draw more attention to Katie, as Logan was suspicious of her.
The episode ended with another challenge. This time, the group had to get through a series of obstacles, but at each obstacle, some players had to be left behind. All the players who were left behind would be put on a shortlist for that night’s murder. Victor, Morgan, Niyyah, Mark, Tomica, Kriste, Sherry, Clyde, Abby L. and Joe were the 10 players put on that list. Alan announced that the players would be attending the funeral of one of the players on the list that night.
One of the players who will be on the chopping block at the roundtable is Jay. That is not because people think he is a traitor, but because they can’t stand to be around him anymore. He is causing chaos and playing a selfish game. The faithfuls want him out because a chaotic traitor can often be more damaging than a traitor. However, he is pushing hard to get Katie out. It might be a battle between those two at the roundtable. Who wins that roundtable battle? We’ll have to wait and find out next week!
