Prediction, pick for Marcos Degli vs. Paris Moran at DWCS Season 10, Week 7

At tonight’s edition of Dana White’s Contender Series, the two most experienced fighters on the card who have an identical record (14-3), Marcos Degli and Paris Moran, will face off. DWCS begins at 7:00 p.m. ET on Paramount+ and takes place in Las Vegas, Nevada, at the Meta Apex.

Marcos Degli to Win in Rounds 1-2 (-185)

Over the last three years, Degli competed in top-tier regional promotion, LFA. Degli went 6-0 with five finishes in LFA en route to becoming Flyweight Champion. He successfully defended the LFA Flyweight title twice and never lost it. Since losing to Felipe dos Santos in March 2022, Degli has gone on a phenomenal run, winning 12 straight fights. 

All 17 of Moran’s professional MMA fights have taken place in Fury Fighting Championship. He is a two-time FFC Flyweight Champion and won the title for a second time in his previous bout against Roybert Echeverria in May.

In this contest, Degli is a massive -410, with Moran being a +320 underdog on DraftKings Sportsbook. The fight’s over/under is set at 1.5 rounds, with the under at -120 and the over at -110. In this bout, Moran is two inches taller (5’8″ vs. 5’6″) while having a slight edge in standing reach (68″ vs. 67″). 

13 of Degli’s 14 wins have come by knockout or submission, with 12 of them coming in the first two rounds. Although he is physically smaller, Degli’s pace and pressure should be able to overwhelm Moran in this contest. Degli has faced tougher competition and should be well prepared for this big opportunity.
